Red Hot!

El Guapo (is Red Hot!)

Made with sparkly dog leash found at the Goodwill Bins, Chili pepper seeds
and foraged scrap found on my walks through the neighborhood.
El Guapo was cut from the label on the bag of Chili peppers.

Had fun taking a break from Garden Fair planning, to create this little 8 x 10 assemblage for Mark Woolley's  Simply Red (2) Show at his new gallery space in Pioneer Place down town.  The grand opening party was also his birthday celebration and was attended by HUNDREDS of Artists, Lovers and Art-Lovers. I knew it was NOT to be missed -even though I would be running on empty after the Epic Event of the Lewis Garden Fair earlier that day! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by my two new lovely 'Mud-Bug' friends who informed me that my little painting had SOLD. All of my exasperation over putting my art on hold to devote hours (months) of volunteer efforts for my son's elementary school washed away and I felt vindicated, reunited with my first love, passion and new priority again.
